Pecket Well Mill, Hebden Bridge

This award winning development of individual houses and apartments is situated on a south-west facing hillside in the Pennine village of Pecket Well less than two miles from the vibrant town of Hebden Bridge.The historic grade II listed mill complex enjoys magnificent views over open countryside towards the National Trust woodland of Hardcastle Crags, the ancient village of Heptonstall and Stoodley Pike. The evolution of the mill since 1857 has created a fascinating range of different elements including the multi-storey mill building adjacent to the western millpond, the engine house, weaving shed, old coach house, mill chimney and two weavers’ cottages.

Phase One saw the conversion of the Main Mill into seven individual apartments, The Engine House into a unique three bedroom dwelling and Bobbin Cottage was transformed from a dilapidated former cottages into a beautiful home. The site won the prestigious Rural Renaissance Award in 2006 for Phase One. All homes are now sold.

Phase Two is the largest of the Phases, and comprises two different house types, type W and type T, most of which have three bedrooms although there is one two bed plot and on four bed plot.

Phase Three will see the conversion of the Coach House into six two bedroom homes, with open plan top floor living accommodation and secure underground parking.
